About Joy Fahey

Before moving to Spain in 2000 Joy headed up an International Marketing Company training and coaching women all over the world.

She was nominated European Business Woman of the Year for developing and helping create businesses for women worldwide. Her passion has always been to teach and coach in all areas of personal development.

For the last ten years since being in Spain she has also pursued her love of art incorporating her talents in teaching regular art classes and many Personal Growth Groups and individual coaching.

‘In these times of great change’ Joy says ‘we need to adapt and draw on our inner strength to cope with the extra challenges and stress. As women we are naturally able to multi task but can tend to get dragged under and loose our true sense of self.
This workshop has been designed to put us back on top’.

in Mallorca in September, 2011

Practice with Anna Grisotti in the lovely Mediterranean Climate

PILATES IS A FORM OF EXERCISE that suits everyone- young, old, healthy and with limited abilities. It is a form of training that combines strength, flexibility and balance. We are all unique and the practice is based on your own abilities- in other words, it does not matter if you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner.

THE AMAZING THING WITH PILATES IS that you reshape your body and that the result comes quickly. The practice helps to stabilize the muscles closest to the skeleton. When these muscles are strong they will help to keep joints in place and reduce for example back pain. After these days with Anna you will feel stronger, more flexible and lighter!

We will also enjoy different types of meditations.

During these days we will learn how to prepare raw food and eat it .RAW FOOD is fruits, vegetables, root vegetables, berries, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, algae’s, grains, virgin oils and honey. The raw materials are not heated above 42 degrees Celsius to preserve maximum nutrition. Raw food is very healing and great for losing weight without deprivation.

STAYING AT CAS BERNATS
The finca is from the 16th century and is situated above the charming harbour Puerto de Sóller (on the north west coast of Mallorca). This is where mountains meet the sea and sunshine! On the finca you will see horses and sheep strolling freely. You will find olive, almond, orange and lemon trees. They produce ecological vegetables and fruit in the garden. There is an outdoor pool with sunbeds and a fantastic view over the blue
Mediterranean sea below us.

The Nº 1 sports and active holiday resort in the world, Club La Santa is a real paradise for all people who enjoy sports and an active life.

Having personally been to Club La Santa so many times, it is a great place for some warmer weather in January without travelling too far! You can play in tennis tournaments, badminton, outdoor fitness classes, yoga, spinning, Olympic sized swimming pool. There is also a man made lagoon where you can soak up the sun or even windsurf. You will also see one or two celebrities who return regularly to train for their respective sports. Evenings there are shows on within the complex, a few nice restaurants and bars.

Take the Airport/Cala Estancia (7A) exit from the motorway.
Follow Cala Estancia on slip road.
This brings you to a T junction, turn left direction Can Pastilla.
Follow road until you see Calle de Pins on your right (big Hasso car rental building on far corner).
Turn down road to the sea (see the bay slightly to your left) and you’ll see restaurant on the corner in front of you.

For parking easiest to park on Calle Pins, or follow road past rest, turn right at bottom and right again up parallel road (Carrer Miguel Massuti) and parking found there too.
