Business Club

We hold regular Speed Networking Events with Mallorca Business Club. See www.mallorcabusinessclub.com
How it works
Speed networking is a new concept of networking and a much more structured approach to traditional business networking events. During a 2 hour event you will have a series of 1-2-1 “mini-meetings” with at least 15-20 business professionals. Each meeting lasts approx. 6-8 minutes with each person getting 3-4 minutes to speak about their respective businesses. The event host will call time and you then move onto your next meeting. In this way you can quickly learn about other individuals and their businesses and establish whether pursuing a business relationship would be beneficial.

Speed networking is an efficient and cost effective way to promote your business face-to-face, build new business to business relationships and increase your client base.

Mallorca Business Club’s top tips for maximising the benefits of attending one of our speed networking events ……..
Make absolutely no prejudgements about the people you are meeting except that they are there with an open mind to buying from you – and often very quickly.
Make eye contact, positive body langauge and smile with and to every single person you meet. They will all be your ambassadors for the next few days and weeks! Ensure they want to recommend their business colleagues to meet you.
Prepare your presentation. Find out from the organisers how long you have to speak to each contact and prepare a clear succinct presentation that is the correct length. How often do you get the chance to impress up to 20 willing COs and buyers, one on one, in a single evening? You wouldn´t go to see a single prospect unprepared – so prepare 20 times as well for this event.
Take some sort of material with you to give to all with whom you network – sales material – not just a bunch of business cards. Ideally that material should have a “call to action” that ensures that the people you have met want to get back in touch with you. Also make sure the material leaves the door open for you to contact them.
Go organised to collect information. A small notepad and pen are ideal. Take an envelope folder with you to collect other peoples information.
Listen intently and with genuine interest to the people talking to you. Not only will you maybe hear about products services that might be great for you, but also you will hear buying signals for when you follow them up after the event.
After the event follow up every single person you met, even if just to say “Nice to have met you, good luck and maybe we will meet again soon.”!
